About the Book
What exactly is a personalized self-discovery book? +
It is a physical, printed book uniquely personalized to you, using your birth chart as the personalization method — the date, time, and place you were born form a combination that is unique to every individual. We use that as a starting point to create reflective stories and personal-growth chapters written just for you. Each book is uniquely created based on your details. No two books are alike. Yours is the only one in the world.
What is inside the book? +
Each book is a collection of reflective chapters personalized to you: themes about your personality and strengths, prompts for self-reflection, and stories written around what makes you unique. The Premium and Deluxe editions add chapters on life themes, relationships, and personal direction. Every section is written in clear, useful language — designed to help you reflect and grow, not to predict the future.
What editions are available and what's the difference? +
We offer three editions. The Essential Edition ($89) is a paperback covering the core of your personalized book. The Premium Edition ($159) is hardcover with expanded content including life themes and a deeper chapter on relationships. The Deluxe Collector's Edition ($289) is hardcover bound in linen with a printed dust jacket and our most complete content — a keepsake book. All editions are printed on premium paper with archival inks.
How many pages does the book have? +
Page count depends on your edition and how much personalized content your details generate. The Essential Edition typically runs 80-120 pages. The Premium Edition runs 140-200 pages. The Deluxe Collector's Edition runs 200-300 pages. Since the content is fully personalized to you specifically, two books of the same edition can differ in length.
Can I personalize the cover? +
Yes. You choose from our gallery of artistic cover designs — each named after a star: Echo of Orion, Wave of Aldebaran, Light of Castor, Thread of Pollux, and many more. Your name and the title appear on the cover in elegant typography. The result is a book that feels personally yours from the outside in.
Birth Data & Accuracy
What information do you need to create my book? +
Three things: your date of birth, your time of birth (as exact as possible), and your city of birth. The city is used to derive latitude, longitude, and timezone, all needed to personalize your book accurately.
Why is the exact time of birth important? +
Your time of birth makes the personalization more precise and specific to you. A difference of even a few minutes shifts some of the details we use, so the more accurate the time, the more tailored your book. The most reliable source is your birth certificate. Hospital records also work. If only your mom remembers "around 9 in the morning," that's usable, and we'll note that some details may be approximate.
What if I don't know my exact time of birth? +
You can still order. We'll use 12:00 noon as a default for the time. Most of the personalization stays accurate, and only a few finer details become approximate. Your book will still be deeply personal. If you later find your birth time, we can't reprint — but most customers are very happy ordering with the noon default.
How does the personalization actually work? +
Your birth details (date, time, and place) form a combination unique to you. We use that as a personalization framework to shape the themes, tone, and stories in your book, so the final result reflects you and no one else. Our writers and coaches then craft the content around that foundation. The focus is always on self-knowledge and reflection — a book made for you, not a generic title.
Shipping & Delivery
How long does delivery take? +
Total time from order to delivery is typically 7 to 14 days. This includes 2-5 days for our writers and coaches to craft your personalized content, 2-3 days for printing on premium paper, and shipping time depending on your location. We'll send you a tracking link once the book ships from the printer.
Where do you ship? +
We ship worldwide. Our printing partners have fulfillment centers in the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union, and Australia, so most orders ship locally — reducing both delivery time and customs hassle. Shipping cost is calculated at checkout based on your destination and chosen edition.
Can I change my shipping address after ordering? +
Yes, up until your book enters the production stage. After placing the order, you receive an email with a tracking link. From that link you can edit the shipping address until our system locks it for printing (usually within 1-3 days of payment). After that point, the address is final. If you spot a mistake too late, contact us immediately — we'll do our best to help.
Will I get a tracking number? +
Yes. You receive two emails: a confirmation when you order, and a shipping notification with a tracking link once the book leaves the printing facility. You can also view the current status of your order anytime at the tracking link provided in your first email.
Payment & Returns
How do I pay? +
We accept credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) through Stripe, as well as PayPal. All payments are processed securely — we never see or store your card details. The full amount is charged at checkout.
What is your return policy? +
Because each book is custom-printed and personalized just for you, we cannot accept returns for change of mind. However, if your book arrives with a printing defect (damaged cover, misprinted pages, etc.) or is damaged in transit, we replace it free of charge. Just contact us within 30 days of delivery with a photo of the issue.
What if I made a typo in the name or birth data? +
Contact us as soon as you notice. If your book hasn't entered the production stage yet, we can fix the data and reprint at no charge. Once it's in production, the cost of reprinting (printing + shipping) would apply, but we work with you case by case. Triple-check all data on the confirmation page before submitting.
Gifting
Can I order a book as a gift? +
Absolutely — many of our orders are gifts. Just enter the recipient's birth data instead of your own and ship to either their address or yours. We don't include the price anywhere on the package or invoice inside. The book itself is wrapped beautifully and ready to give.
What if I don't know the recipient's birth time? +
Try to get it discreetly — ask a parent, check a birth certificate if you can. If it's truly unavailable, you can order with a 12:00 noon default. The book will still be deeply personal and meaningful. Most recipients won't notice any difference at all.
Privacy & Data
What do you do with my birth data? +
We use it only to personalize and generate your book. After printing, we retain it for order history and reprints, never sharing or selling it to third parties. Full details are in our privacy policy. If you ever want your data deleted, just write to us and we comply within 30 days.
Is the website secure? +
Yes. All connections use HTTPS encryption. Payment information is handled by Stripe and PayPal — we never see card numbers. We don't store passwords for customer accounts (we use temporary email codes instead). Security headers, CSP, and modern best practices are in place.

Who writes the interpretations in the book? +
YourStarsBook is a team of writers and personal-growth coaches. The writers craft the narrative and tone of each book; the coaches focus on practical, useful insights for self-reflection. Every book is reviewed through both lenses — quality of writing and real-world usefulness — before printing.
Does this book predict my future? +
No. Our books do not predict the future, tell fortunes, or make any claims about what will happen in your life. They are self-help and personal-growth books — tools for reflection. We use your birth chart purely as a personalization method to make each book unique to its owner. Read your book as a thoughtful conversation with yourself, not a forecast.
